S.S. ‘Dicky’

S.S. ‘Dicky’
In February 1893, during cyclonic weather, the S.S. ‘Dicky’ was blown on to a lonely beach in Caloundra. This beach now bears her name. Locals and visitors had grown very fond of this 122 year old shipwreck. When  the  local council decided the wreck had to be moved, they discovered the depth of the community’s connection to her. This is her story….. written  in 2015
